The hotel is ideally located right in the heart of Hamburg at Aussenalster Lake. Close to the fashionable shopping area, it also offers easy access to the nearby Congress and Exhibition Centre, the business district and the world famous harbour. The main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is only a stroll away and the international airport is an easy 25 minutes by taxi/car.

Le Royal Meridien Hotel is housed in a bright, ultra-modern building with a huge glass front that covers the first six storeys. The designer lobby has marble floors, discreet lighting and several seating areas, which lead in turn to the banqueting area and the lobby bar. All the guestrooms, furnished with the new Le Meridien 'Art + Tech' design, feature the latest state-of-the-art technology, including 42-inch flat plasma screen televisions. Specially designed, therapeutic beds with Egyptian linen duvets and pillows provide the ultimate sleep experience. The glass-etched, handcrafted headboards are inspired by local culture. The 'Art + Tech' bathrooms feature free standing shower rooms, etched glass washbasins on limestone tables and specially created amenities include luxury toiletries and, exclusively in the suites, a 100 gram bar of Hermes soap. "Le Ciel" restaurant and bar, on the 9th floor, provides a stunning view over the Alster Lake and Hamburg's skyline. Michael Rostang, one of France's most renowned chefs, has created an innovative restaurant concept based on classic French cuisine. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and seats 90.
